PARIS RECITAL AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD ONLINE

Finghin's recital at the Serres d'Auteuil in Paris last Sunday is now available for download at the website of the Live Music Company, at the price of €9.99.  The fascinating programme includes the world première of "Vrishti" by French composer Bertrand Dubedout as well as "Rain Tree Sketch" by Japanese composer Takemitsu. These two contemporary works are framed by more conventional pieces by Beethoven (Sonata Op. 90), Schumann (Intermezzi Op. 4) and Debussy (L'Isle Joyeuse)

Bertrand Dubedout's piece was inspired by an Indian mantra and was commissioned especially for this concert by Ars Mobilis, the presenter of the Festival "Les Solistes aux Serres d'Auteuil". The concerts take place in an orangerie in the middle of a beautiful park on the western edge of Paris.  Live Music Company is a new initiative specialising in the recording of live performances for internet download. There is absolutely no editing involved, these are edge-of-the-seat live performances, warts and all. 

Come to the New Ross Piano Festival to hear the Irish première of "Vrishti" and many other wonderful works.
