MAJOR TOUR OF EU ACCESSION STATES WITH THE ICO

2nd March 2004

On June 8th in Warsaw, the Irish Chamber Orchestra kicks off a six-concert whistlestop tour of the EU Accession Countries with Finghin Collins as soloist in Mozart's Piano Concerto K. 414.  The orchestra will be conducted by its Music Director Nicholas McGegan and the tour will take the musicians to five of the ten new member states of the European Union, finishing in Cyprus on June 19th. 

Many of the concerts form part of local music festivals, including the prestigious Wratislavia Cantans Festival in Wroclaw, in south-western Poland, and the Pazaislis Festival in Kaunas, Lithuania's second city.
